Kentucky Derby third-place finisher Ocelli will make his next start in the $1 million Grade 1 Haskell Stakes going 1 1/8 miles at Monmouth Park on July 18, the Daily Racing Form reports.
The Haskell is a “Win and You’re In” for the Breeders’ Cup Classic at Keeneland on Oct. 31.
Ocelli suffered his ninth defeat in nine starts when beaten a length by Chip Honcho in the G3 Ohio Derby at Thistledown on June 20. Prior to that effort, was fourth in the Preakness Stakes behind Haskell probables Napoleon Solo and Iron Honor.
